CR Belouizdad was founded in 1936 in the Belouizdad district of Algiers.
After Algerian independence, the club restructured and launched toward national titles.
The club won its first Algerian league title in 1974.
The 1980s saw CRB dominate Algerian football with multiple league and cup titles.
CRB won continental African titles, establishing itself on the continental stage.
